Grenache is not known for aging well, but there's a unique combination of hot and cold on this estate that begs for patience. Light in hue, the wine shows fresh raspberry jam, dried flowers, pepper and roasted meat on the nose. A firm, leathery texture wraps up the strawberry, pomegranate and cracked pepper flavors of the palate. Drink now-2040. Matt Kettmann
