This vineyard sits just outside of the Santa Lucia Highlands, but is actually closer to the coast than much of that appellation, which makes for attention-grabbing, cool-climate wines. Dark in the glass, this bottling begins with rich blackberry, nori wrap, dewy bay leaf and green peppercorn aromas. The palate shows the same, with rugged meat and underripe plum flavors as well.
